That word is “NO.” We’re all naturally afraid of being rejected, but Leaders learn how to repurpose that pain and use it to drive their business forward. After all, nothing feels better than proving the doubters and disbelievers wrong!
The World Isn’t Against You
Everyone faces hard times, but unsuccessful people focus on their losses and not their wins. The difference is your mindset. Losing is inevitable, even for the most intelligent, skilled, and experienced people. The bigger your ambitions, the more chances you’ll take, and by sheer odds, the more rejection you’ll likely face, but that’s okay! Be patient, learn from your mistakes, and try harder next time. Every NO means you’re one step closer to a YES.
Don’t Let Failure Define You
A NO is usually just a YES just waiting to happen at a later date. Maybe you approached your Prospect at an inconvenient time. EVERYONE wants to look and feel better and get paid in 5 minutes, so don’t let anyone steal your dreams with a “NO.” Stay in touch and feed them gentle reminders. Share a recent product testimonial or an interesting social media post, or let them know when a friend of theirs joins your Team. If their neighbors or friends are enjoying success, they will want to know how.
Ask The Experts
Great communication with your upline can help solve a lot of problems, including rejection. Leaders have faced rejection before and usually have helpful advice for turning a “NO” into a “YES.” Three-way calls are a great place to start. Remember, asking for help with your Prospect earlier rather than later in the process only increases your chances of success. Asking for help at the last minute or after you’ve been rejected will only frustrate your Prospect.
